Nitani Private Game Reserve does have Lion, Elephant, Cheetah and Leopard. There is an opportunity to see something that makes Nitani special during your Botswana safari travel, the “Small five” which comprise of Caracal, Serval, African wildcat, Aardwolf and Aardvark.
Included activities:
Astronomy: Enjoy the vastness of the African sky through a computerized telescope, and learn more about spectacular galaxies and constellations.
Bush dinner: Lucky guests will be taken to an open plain for a romantic night to remember. The area is lit with paraffin lamps, where guests will sit and enjoy a spectacular bush feast while listening to the wonderful sounds of the nocturnal life of the bush come alive. This activity is subject to the Season, as winds may cause fire hazards.
Bush walk: Walks are done in the early morning in the summer months, and after breakfast in winter. Your experienced and expert ranger will teach you about the bush, from medicinal uses of certain plants, facts on fauna and flora and the history and archaeology of the area.
Specialist lectures:
Archaeology: Travel back in time and discover the early Jurassic dinosaurs if the past, the Crystalline Age, the Iron Age, and end with delicious sundowners.
Entomology: This is a journey through the wonderful world of our creepy crawly friends, where an experience resident entomologist will teach you all about these fascinating creatures, big and small.
Ornithology: Delve into the amazing world of birds during your Botswana safari travel vacation. This lecture is done on request.
Game drives: Guests can encounter big and small wildlife of the bush during an early morning or evening game drive in open Land Rovers.
Private dinners or lunch: Guests are welcome to request a private dinner or lunch, served on an open deck overlooking the waterhole.
Additional activities:
Cultural Village Tour: Guests will be able to visit the Mothabaneng Village. Your journey will be in an open game viewer through the village, where you will visit the Kgotla - a local tribal court - a local school, a Lala Palm winemaker and the Motlouse River for a delicious picnic lunch.
Animal tracking and talk: Accompany the resident ecologist on game drives, tracking Leopard, Aardvark, Aardwolf and Hyena. With the help of state of the art radio telemetry equipment, you will be able to encounter these amazing animals in their natural environment. The entire proceeds of this game drive go towards ongoing research projects.
Hot Air Ballooning: Experience the vastness and beauty of the African savannah in the most breathtaking and dramatic way during your hot air balloon flight. Flights are about one hour long. Nitani Lodge also offers hot air ballooning co-pilot training courses, which must be booked in advance.
Wellness Centre: The resident Somatologist will delight you with various luxurious treatments to leave you feeling rejuvenated, revitalize and refreshed. Treatments include reflexology, facials, manicures and pedicures.
Private Game drive: At an additional cost, guests can have exclusive use of a private Land Rover, subject to availability.
Sir Williams Bar: Guests can enjoy a wealth of spectacular drinks from the Sir Williams Bar, from Scottish single malts and French cognacs, to fine wine from the cellar, rounded off with a Cuban cigar.

Game Viewing Options

Guests are taken on the morning and night drives in open Land Rovers. Only 6 people are allowed per vehicle. The exclusive use of a private Land Rover can also be done.
